Alan Saler has had a thriving practice as a neutral since founding Alan Saler Mediation Services in January 2003. He has always enjoyed the luxury of being an independent provider of mediation services, and during his career as a neutral, he has mediated more than 3,000 civil cases and disputes. Those who have used his services attribute his ability to consistently resolve matters to his legal analysis, evaluative skills, and, particularly, his meticulous preparation and tenacity. Alan joins Len for an informative discussion that includes parties’ expectations and how attorneys can best provide the information needed to obtain the best results for clients.
Upon graduating from Columbia University School of Law School in 1984, Alan joined Ervin, Cohen & Jessup, where he handled complex civil litigation. In 1991, he founded a Los Angeles branch office for Jones Hirsch Connor’s & Bull, a prominent, mid-sized New York City civil litigation firm. During the ensuing nine years, he served as its managing partner and lead trial counsel.
Alan is also a “Diplomate Member” of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN). His mediation practice primarily focuses on mediating personal injury, product liability, employment, and professional liability matters. He is the author of several articles, including recently 15 Keys to Resolving Your Case at Mediation, appearing in the September 2021 edition of Advocate.
