What’s happening with some of the teams that have been at the top of the NFL over the last several years? This season, Sean McVay has sent Rams players onto the field in tight situations when the strategy for doing so was questionable and resulted in some injuries, and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers threw interceptions into the other team’s endzone, to name a few examples. These teams were in the playoffs last year, so why have things turned around in the past six months? Has there been a fundamental shift in the game?

The Lakers have had a rough go of it this season due to injuries and other problems and have lost to the other LA home team, the Clippers, in their last nine consecutive meetings. Is LA now the Clippers’ town?

Changes are in motion in Brooklyn basketball, with Jacque Vaughn named as the new coach of the Brooklyn Nets after being on the coaching staff since 2016 and much speculation over more controversial choices. Kyrie Irving has been suspended for at least five games, with Nike co-founder Phil Knight saying that the shoe giant’s relationship with Irving is likely over after his anti-semitic tweets, and the company is canceling plans for the release of his new signature shoe. What’s in the future for the Nets, and will Irving be part of it?

Who’s on top in college football’s Heisman race? Where is UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the rankings? And why was Zach Charbonnet suited up but sitting on the sidelines during the last Bruins game? Does UCLA have a chance to make it to the Final Four?

Will the Dodgers keep their core team, or are big shakeups ahead in the lineup? Is Trea Turner going to be re-optioned? He still has a good ten years left, can play shortstop, steals bases, and is great on defense. Will Cody Bellinger stay? He has incredible abilities and is a left-handed hitter in a team with few lefties. What about Clayton Kershaw? Will he finish his career with the Dodgers or in his hometown with the Rangers?
