What’s up with the Boys in Blue and all the new faces? Although the Dodgers have retained Clayton Kershaw and allowed him to finish his career with the team, the front office has made sweeping changes to the lineup, leaving big holes with Trea Turner being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies and Cody Bellinger off to join the Chicago Cubs. Bellinger and Jason Heyward have swapped cities, and now Heyward is LA-bound to continue his career on the west coast. Have Andrew Friedman and the management team been holding back on larger salaries for acquiring new players in hopes of obtaining Shohei Otani in 2024 when he becomes a free agent? Will there be enough power players left to sustain the Dodgers in the meantime and keep fans happy? Are others following their lead? How do the new rules in baseball determine the way teams decide who stays, who goes, and who they go after?

Quarterback Baker Mayfield recently joined the Rams from the Carolina Panthers and has his work cut out for him with all of the injuries currently plaguing the franchise. Does he have enough support on the gridiron, or will he need to hit the ground running? The Rams appear to be in dire straits this season – can he turn things around and help the team reach the playoffs?

The Heisman race is coming down to the wire with so many deserving candidates from around the country in the mix. Is there any chance of a west coast winner? Could USC’s Caleb Williams find himself atop the leaderboard and bring the coveted trophy to LA?
