As we complete Season 4 of Masters of Dispute Resolution, I want to thank all our listeners for supporting this podcast. I am extremely gratified by all the positive feedback received. Please continue to listen and make suggestions on how we can do better. And by all means, tell your friends!
There would be no Masters of Dispute Resolution podcast without the involvement and insights of the accomplished mediators whose peacemaking has helped people involved in disputes enrich their lives. The mediators who have shared their stories with you possess considerable mediation skills and are dedicated neutrals. Their ability to connect with parties in conflict and empathetically gain an understanding of the cause of emotional pain to allow for healing is truly remarkable. My sincerest gratitude for their participation.
In Seasons 3 and 4 we discussed the valuable lessons to be learned from the mediation stories, including how to de-escalate conflicts, and about approaches to resolution of conflicts within families seeking to carry on multi-generational legacies. We heard the story of a mediation where resolution required overcoming betrayal by a school principal, and another where spousal betrayal could only be overcome by addressing the interests of innocent babies. We learned about the healing power of mediation where healing was needed following the deaths of hundreds of innocent victims from tainted pharmaceuticals. All of the episodes provide insights into the mediation process.
The stories told on this podcast are meant to be entertaining, to be sure, but our larger mission is to educate. Not just educate by giving attorneys, mediators, and others tools to more effectively perform their respective roles, but also to illustrate that kindness, dignity, and empathy all carry with them great healing powers.
We are excited to be working on Season 5 of Masters of Dispute Resolution, which will begin in September. We look forward to connecting with you then. Again, thank you for listening.
